With almost all injuries/dysfunctions there is spinal involvement. Whether it be pain in the shoulder that is truly caused by a nerve being pinched in the neck, or the way limping after an ankle sprain can cause tightness and pain in the lower back, the spinal component must be treated through spine rehabilitation.
The goal of spine rehabilitation and treatment is to create a balance between spinal mobility and strength and stability of the core. We achieve spinal mobility through various manual therapy techniques, including strain-counter strain, soft tissue mobilization, direct and indirect joint mobilization, and traction.
Strength and stability is achieved through a specific core strengthening program that we individualize to each patient.
